Hiring now for a leading maritime organization managing government and commercial ocean-going vessels. We are seeking an experienced Port Engineer to work remotely from home (US Based).This challenging role involves daily management of a Military Sealift Command vessel, including overseeing shipyard projects and dry dockings.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and negotiate shipyard dry-docking projects exceeding three million dollars.
  • Ensure safe, efficient project execution and technical compliance.
  • Provide remote support from a home office and on-site assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Prepare and manage project records, reports, and budgets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years' Port Engineer experience with a record of managing shipyard projects.
  • Experience aboard ocean-going ships as a Marine Engineer.
  • Seven years' total experience, including relevant education or shipyard/military experience.
  • Strong project management skills and technical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
  • U.S. citizenship required
