Job Description
Fairwater specializes in liquid energy and chemical transportation vessels, operations and related services as an independent U.S. Jones Act service provider. The organization has ownership of a highly capable fleet of 31 tankers and articulated-tug barges and will also provide ship management services to 20 vessels.

We have openings in our East Coast, Gulf, West Coast, and Alaska ATBs with the Seafarers' International Union (SIU) Masters, Mates & Pilots (MMP) and Inland Boatmans' Union (IBU). Union membership is required upon acceptance of a permanent role within the ATB fleets.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Credentials
- MMC-
- Basic Training
- VPDSD
- Required STCW Endorsements and Training
- Mate 1600 Gross Tons upon Oceans License or higher
- OICNW (Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch) over 500GT
- Able Seafarer Deck
- GMDSS
- Lifeboatman endorsement
- Tankerman Assistant (Barge)
- STCW Medical Certificate – we require the STCW Expiration Date to be valid
- TWIC Badge- Not to expire within three months
- Valid Passport – Not to expire within six months
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- PIC – Tankerman Person in Charge
- Mate of Towing Vessels upon Oceans or higher
